The Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board started its working on the 1970. First Government of Madhya Pradesh setup it as a Pre Medical Test Board but later Government decided to cover the other various courses and in 1982 they established another board as Pre Engineering Board. Again in the 1982 Government announced a notification No.1325-1717-42-82 to merge the both board as Professional Examination Board (P.E.B.). The board has taken the whole process of conduction entrance test examination for admission to various courses in the state collages.
